The island of Oahu has the bulk of Hawaii's population and is
a cosmopolitan city set in the midst of breathtaking scenery and
beauty. Though it is the center of the islands' tourism industry,
the number of visitors in relation to residents does not overwhelm
it as happens on some of the other islands.

an Opera season, beautiful Art Museum and Contemporary Art Gallery,
wonderful dining, theatre and shopping that ranges from the "big
box" retailers to the haute couture.
There is a large Gay & Lesbian population and a number of active
GLBT organisations. Put all this together with beautiful beaches,
low crime, an ideal climate that never gets too hot and never
gets cold, a friendly tolerant society of peoples from all over
the Pacific, South East Asia, and North America, and you do indeed
have a Paradise.
