Dallas is a gay-friendly city with special
enclaves throughout the area. The popular living areas include
Oak Lawn, Oak Cliff and East Dallas. In the Oak Lawn area there
are wonderful restaurants and nightlife. This older inner city
area, where new townhomes and condominiums are being built,
offers those looking for a home a variety of choices. This area
also encompasses Turtle Creek, the home of the famous Turtle
Creek Choral, a gay men's chorus.
An interesting area in Dallas is the West End Historic District.
There visitors find shopping, restaurants, and nightclubs. Tourist
attractions in the area include the John Neely Bryan Cabin,
the one-time home of the founder of Dallas, and the John F.
Kennedy Memorial Museum and monument at Dealy Plaza.

Taste of Dallas, State Fair Parade, Motor Sport Expo, NBA Hoop-It-Up,
and the Neiman Marcus Adolpheous Children's Christmas Parade.
Nearby Fort Worth offers a wonderful zoo and a great film festival.
There are over 25 state parks within 100 miles of the Dallas-Fort
Worth area. Rolling prairies and woodlands abound. Fishing,
boating, swimming, camping, biking, and hiking are available
for visitors.
