Historians find great attraction and delight in this state. Addison's Chimney Point features the first settlement in the 1690 stockyard of Captain deWarm. It was at Plymouth Notch that vacationing Vice President Calvin Coolidge received an urgent call from the capitol in Washington informing of the death of President Warren Harding in August 1923. The lakes and mountains are unbelievable. The White Mountains and the White Mountain National Forest along with the Green Mountain National Park are definite to-dos. Skiing at Sugarbush attracts many in the wintertime also.
